DESCRIPTION:Botanical Illustrations with Rodney Allen \n\n\n\nDuring this one-day specialty course\, students will create drawings using a variety of drawing media including Prismacolor pencil\, charcoal\, chalk and oil pastel. Focus will be on drawing floral's or low country plant life while learning varied drawing techniques through hands-on production including blending\, shading\, and elements of art.\n\n\n\nMeet the instructor: \n\nRodney Allen is a native of Beaufort South Carolina.  He is a realist painter who aspires to capture the beauty of the Lowcountry with the use of oil and acrylic. Rodney's three older siblings who are also artists influenced his artistic process at an early age. His art is characterized by the natural colors\, hues\, contrasting shapes\, and compositions that make up the Lowcountry landscape. During his career\, Mr. Allen has received many art awards and his work can be found in many galleries and homes.
