Nevertheless\, small businesses on average make bad hires nearly 50% of the time\n\nSmall business owners learn very quickly that attracting and onboarding employees is far from easy\, and in fact is like trying to navigate a legal and practical minefield. \n\nThe Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the SC LowCountry SCORE Chapter announce Attracting and Hiring the Right Employees   another in the recently inaugurated Business For Breakfast briefings.\n\n\n\nIn this fast-moving ninety minute program you will learn how to attract and identify and hire the right candidates in a full employment job market for your business.\n\n \n\nAbout the Speakers:\n\nLinda Klingman is the Founder of HR Coastal\, a Bluffton-based consulting firm focused on delivering HR and organizational development outsourcing\, consulting and training to small businesses\, as well as\, providing hands-on assistance in recruiting and hiring employees.\n\nPrior to forming HR Coastal\, Ms. Klingman amassed 25 years of Human Resources experience in diverse industry sectors\, including healthcare IT\, banking\, manufacturing and private communities. Most recently\, she worked as the Manager of Human Resources at Moss Creek.\n\nMs. Klingman has her B.A. and M.Ed. from the University of Pittsburgh\, her MS in Human Resources Management from LaRoche College and was awarded a Senior Professional certification in Human Resources Management by the Human Resources Certification Institute. She Currently serves as Past President of the Lowcountry Human Resources Association and is a Board Member of the Lowcountry Healthcare Networking Group.\n\n \n\nTiffany Jaspers is the Business and Economic Development Manager for S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW)\, where she and her staff manage the relationship between DEW and local chambers\, economic developers and industry groups. She works to ensure that business needs are met\, while fine-tuning their approach to provide quality customer service to employers.\n\nTiffany has spent more than 10 years working with businesses to increase productivity and profitability\, the majority of those being small businesses or falling within the hospitality sector. Prior to DEW\, Tiffany was the Existing Industry Manager at Lexington County Economic Development\, where she began delivering workforce solutions for employers.\n\n \n\nMarlin Bodison\, is the Director of Veteran Services for the S. C. Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW)\, where he manages a statewide program that employs Veteran Case Managers and Veteran Employer Outreach Specialist whose mission is to assist veterans in removing employment barriers and to advocate to employers the benefits of hiring veterans.\n\nMarlin has been involved in workforce development since December of 1988 and has served in various capacities covering four Workforce Investment Areas.  He is a United States Army veteran.
