DESCRIPTION:The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce & SC LowCountry SCORE Chapter announce 10 Common Wage and Hour Mistakes Small Businesses Make   the inaugural session in the Beaufort Chamber's Second Wednesday Seminar Programs for small businesses.\n\nThis program will provide attendees with the basics of wage and hour law by highlighting mistakes and misconceptions small business owners have about wage and hour law.\n\n\n\nAbout The Speaker\n\nPat Stanton is a SCORE volunteer mentor and directs the SC LowCountry SCORE Chapter's Education Working Group. \n\nHe has a B.S. from St. Joseph's (Pa.) University\, a J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law and an M.B.A. from the Executive Program at Fairleigh Dickinson University.\n\nPrior to retiring in 2013\, Pat focused on representing large and small employers in labor and employment law matters for more than 35 years in a variety of capacities in both private practice as well as in publicly-traded companies.\n\nHe is a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for more than 20 years.  He was one of only five attorneys in New Jersey to be named to the top tier of management lawyers every year by Chamber's USA's survey since that survey's inception to his retirement in 2013\, and he was selected as Management Employment Lawyer of the Year in the 2013 Superlawyers survey of New Jersey attorneys.\n\n \n\nNext Month's Program:\n\nNovember 8\, 2017\n\nGovernment Contracting 101 For Small Businesses
