DESCRIPTION:The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce & SC LowCountry SCORE Chapter announce Government Contracting 101 for Small Businesses   the second session in the Beaufort Chamber's Second Wednesday Seminar Programs for small businesses.\n\nThis two hour program will provide attendees with the basics of small business federal government contracts as follows: \n\n	Part One: Overview of small business government contracting\, including prime and subcontracting assistance programs\, obtaining SBA certification generally\, and obtaining certifications as minority\, women and veteran owned small business.\n	Part Two: Identifying government contracting opportunities for small businesses\, (including minority\, women and veteran-owned businesses) to sell to the Government\;\n	Part Three: Successfully bidding for federal contracts by small businesses\, minority\, women and veteran-owned businesses.\n\nAbout The Speaker\n\nMichael Corp serves as the Lead Business Opportunity Specialist for the 8(a) Business Development Program in the South Carolina Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).\n\nMr. Corp assists small companies owned by socially and economically disadvantaged persons by fostering business ownership and competitive viability.  The 8(a) program along with other Small Business programs\, allows eligible firms to expand their participation in federal government procurement of construction\, products and services.
