SUMMARY:Hallelujah Singers Reunion Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join Marlena Smalls and the Hallelujah Singers as they present this wonderful concert featuring original singers and new vocalists.  More than two dozen voices will join her for two special performances of plantation melodies\, spirituals and blues.  Smalls organized her ensemble in 1990 to preserve the melodies and storytelling unique to the South Carolina Sea Islands.  She travels extensively teaching the Gullah culture.  They have performed for the US Congress\, SC Legislature\, Chigago's Ravinia festivals\, Kennedy Center\, Spoleto Festival and G-8 Summit.  \nOpen seating is limited beginning at 7pm\nCost: Free and open to the public\nContributions will be accepted to benefit the group's ongoing "Fa Da Chillun" national education program
