DESCRIPTION:Join local author William McIntosh III who has written the first complete account of the virtually forgotten war known as the Yemassee Indian War from 1715-1728 and all but wiped out South Carolina.  His book\, "Indian's Revenge" published in fall 2009 is based on his research in orginal sources and gives a factual account of the era including a comparison of the lives of settlers and Indians\, and South Carolina's difficult relationships with the French in Louisiana and the Spanish in Florida.  The lecture series will be held the 4th Monday of each month Jan - June.\nCost: $15 Member/$25per Member Couple   \nCost: $20 Non-Member/$30 per Non-Member Couple\nIncludes program preceded by Wine/Refreshments  \nIf interested\, a 3 Course dinner at Saltus River Grill will be served following each lecture - Cost $19 per person.
