SUMMARY:Historic Beaufort Foundation - Preservation of Historical Records
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening with Dr. Larry Rowland\, Beaufort County's preeminent historian\, as he presents the preservation of the written and photographic historical records of our nationally significant region.  He will cover the importance of documents\, with a special emphasis on the history of the library and loss of critical records over the years.  Evan R. Thompson\, HBF Executive Director\, will also articulate the critical need to ensure that the Beaufort District Collection of the Beaufort County Library is moved to a spacious\, state of the art room.  This is an effort to create a one-stop archive of historical information to ensure that Beaufort's story will be preserved and reach a wide audience.\nWine and cheese reception following the program\nFree and open to the public.  \nNo contribution will be too small to help preserve our archival heritage !
