Description
With three major facilities North of the Broad River, the Federal Government plays a major role on our local economy.
This program is designed to assist small businesses seeking to obtain federal contracts, particularly contracts set aside for small businesses in general and minority, women and veteran-owned small businesses in particular.
The session will begin with an overview on succeeding in becoming a government contractor provided by a representative from the US Small Business Administration in Columbia.
Then, the Supervisory Contracting Officer at the MIDLANT Naval Facilities Contracting Office at MCAS Beaufort will discuss how to identify and bid on contracting opportunities in Northern Beaufort County.
The session will conclude with an individual who successfully obtained SBA certifications AND government contracts sharing some of his experiences.
