United Way of the Lowcountry Official Grand Opening

Join the Beaufort Regional Chamber as they celebrate United Way of the Lowcountry's Official Grand Opening of their new Beaufort office, located at 1277 Ribaut Road. The Ribbon Cutting will begin at 9:00 am. The event celebrates the One Year Anniversary at their new location. 
 
United Way of the Lowcountry (UWLC) brings people and resources together to meet the immediate needs of our neighbors in Beaufort and Jasper Counties through funded agencies and direct services like the HELPLINE, while diligently working to create lasting, positive change in our community.  As a funder, partner and convener, UWLC works with our community to address the root causes of key issues facing the Lowcountry through Community Impact, focusing on four priority areas:  Basic Needs, Education, Health and Income/Family Stability.
 
UWLC is committed to helping students in our community read on grade level by the time they reach the fourth grade through the Early Grade Reading Initiative, Read Indeed.  Through the power of more than 300 reading tutors and AmeriCorps members, the program continues to expand and is getting results.
