The  League of Women Voters\, Beaufort Area (LWVB) invites you to "Women of the Reconstruction."\n\n\n\nRufus Pinckney (manager of the Mather Museum and president of the Mather School Alumni Association) speaking about Rachel Crane Mather.\n\n\n\nAlvesta Robertson (vice president of the Mather School Alumni Association) speaking about Harriet Tubman.\n\n\n\nSuzie Parker Devoe (local historical fiction writer\, producer and actor) speaking about Susie King Taylor\, Charlotte Forten and Laura Towne.\n\n\n\nMayor Billy Keyserling will kick off the event with an update on Beaufort's very own Reconstruction Era National Historical Park. The  LWVB has a special surprise in store for Mayor Billy. You'll have to attend to find out what it is!\n\n\n\nLunch catered by "Hank's Low Country She Crab Soup"
