Les Petits Chanteurs de Nogent-su-Marne
Tuesday, March 5 at 6 pm
at the Parish Church of St. Helena, Beaufort
Since 1953, the small singers of Nogent, known also as the Sparrows du Val-de-Marne, roam through France and the world while singing. The small singers of Nogent remain one of the few choirs of children in France composed of only boys. It offers its singers from 7 to 20 years a single project through singing, group life and tours, in France and abroad. Concerts, television shows, singing, touring, galas for humanitarian causes and religious ceremonies punctuate the lives of these young boys. They also regularly sing in concert the great works of Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem and Vivaldi's Gloria in prestigious places. The year 2013 will mark the sixtieth anniversary of the small singers of Nogent.. It will be marked by various events that perfectly illustrate the life of a sparrow, including performing concerts this month in the United States. Please note that this is a free concert, but voluntary contributions to help defray travel expenses are greatly appreciated. For further information, please call Pat Gould at 843-364-9552 |
