On Saturday, November 10 at 12:55 PM, USCB Center for the Arts Met Live series will continue as composer Thomas Adès conducts the Metropolitan Opera premiere of his own work, The Tempest. Baritone Simon Keenlyside will star as Prospero. Director Robert Lepage recreates the interior of 18th-century La Scala in this inventive staging. The New York Times calls Thomas Adès’s masterpiece “one of the most inspired, audacious and personal operas to have come along in years.”
