Discover a unique sense of place at: PENN CENTER National Historic Landmark District "Celebrating 150 Years of Education, Leadership and Service at its 30th ANNUAL HERITAGE DAYS CELEBRATION November 8-10, 2012. PENN CENTER will hosts the Heritage Days Celebration showcasing the history of Penn School and the rich cultural legacy of the Gullah Geechee people of the Sea Islands. 20,000 attendees will converge on the historic grounds of PENN CENTER to witness a down-home celebration:
African Drummers & Danceers, Gullah Storyteller, Singers & Artisans, Gullah Roots Village, Fishing Tournament, Gullah & Lowcountry Cuisine Cook-Off, Period Re-Enactor Performances, Gospel Extravaganza, Aritsts & Authors Row, Evening Dance, Book Talks, History & Culture Symposium & More...
