Description
Take part in the 4th Annual Charity Shrimp Race hosted by Sea Island Rotary Club and you could have a chance at winning the $1 Million Grand Prize.
5,000 rubber floating shrimp will be dropped into the Beaufort River adjacent to Waterfront Park and float with the tide toward the finish line. The first 10 lucky shrimp to cross the finish line win cash prizes totaling $5,000 and each of those winners have a chance at the grand prize lucky chance number worth $1 Million dollars. You do not need to be present to win, but you do need to adopt your shrimp for a suggested donation of $10 each. All proceeds directly benefit several local charities, including the Child Abuse Prevention Center (CAPA), Hope Haven of the Lowcountry, Lowcountry Habitat for Humanity, plus Rotary's International humanitarian projects.
