WHAT IS THE BEAUFORT APPRENTICESHIP CHALLENGE?
 
The Beaufort Apprenticeship Challenge will accelerate this successful workforce development model in Beaufort County. The program will pay a $500 cash incentive to 10 local employers to register youth apprenticeships and to 10 local high school students to sign up for an apprenticeship beginning in the 2022 school year.
 
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
 
Step 1: By Nov. 30, register HERE online for an informational webinar hosted by the Beaufort Regional Chamber.  You will receive the webinar invitation after registration.
 
Step 2: Attend the webinar on Dec. 1 where we’ll answer questions about liability, transportation and all the other possible roadblocks to establish a youth apprenticeship.
 
Learn about the next steps during the webinar: Complete official registration of your Youth Apprenticeship program with Apprenticeship Carolina by Jan. 15, 2021.
 
Any employers in Beaufort County that complete all steps by Jan. 15 will be entered into a drawing for a $500 cash bonus. Up to 10 cash bonus recipients will be announced by Jan. 31. We are seeking an array of apprenticeship programs in culinary/hospitality, building technology/trades, information technology, and office administration.
