City & County Council Candidate Forum

Fees/Admission

Open to all.  Attend in person or watch live on The County Channel.

FORMAT and CANDIDATE RULES:

• The event will have a panel question format.
• Candidates may not ask questions of or speak directly to each other.
• There will be no questions from the audience.
• A panel of up to four participants named by the co-hosts will ask all questions of candidates.
• A moderator will preside over the forum to direction questions and track timing.
• Each candidate will have an opportunity to respond to each question asked by the panel in turn.
• Questions will be determined by the panel on the day of the event and will not be shared in advance with any candidate or campaign.
• Response time for each question will be 90 seconds. 
• Each candidate will also have 2, 30-second rebuttals they may use at any time during the forum.
• Each candidate will have 90 seconds for an opening statement and 30 seconds for a closing statement.
• Order of opening statements will be determined by a random drawing on the day of the forum.
• Each candidate may bring up to 3 guests.
• No campaign signs or rallies are allowed inside or on the grounds outside the venue.
